Since the original 50 customers signed up for the Rogers Wave service in Newmarket, Ontario in 1995, the growth in popularity of high-speed Internet has been phenomenal. Today, Rogers has 988,300 high-speed Internet customers
in Rogers Cable coverage areas throughout Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
Also 10 years ago, Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com) began as a simple idea to bring order to the Internet universe. Once housed in a trailer at Stanford University, Yahoo! has evolved over the past decade into the world's most
recognized Internet brand, with more than 372 million unique users worldwide.
Last year, Rogers and Yahoo! brought together their respective Internet experience to offer Rogers Yahoo! Hi-Speed Internet, an integrated broadband experience that seamlessly combines speed with a compelling suite of services at no additional charge to consumers.
