Gatineau and Edmonton, - The CRTC has granted four category two digital specialty service licenses, one of which will launch in the fall of this year, says the license holder.
The commission gave Edmonton man Dieter Kohler category two digital licenses for The Armed Forces Network, the Auto Channel, the Cult Movie Channel and the Hunting Channel.
He is now lining up broadcast partners and distribution deals and plans to launch one of the channels in the fall, although he said it was too early to make public yet which one.
Kohler says he has over 20 years experience in the TV business with Edmonton-based production companies KRG Television and Treefrog Productions.
