TORONTO - "What time is it?" is the question likely to be most asked (probably by bleary-eyed hosts and crew struggling with time zones) during the first week of November as Canada AM is packing up its studio for a five day, five city road trip.
The national morning show use the week to debut new co-host Beverly Thomson and broadcast live from a new location each day. The Good Morning Tour begins Monday, November 3rd at 7:30 a.m. AT in Halifax and moves eastward to Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
Thomson moved over to CTV from Global Toronto where she co-anchored the evening news.
"The ambitious programming event is designed to celebrate Canada and introduce Canadians to their new Canada AM morning team," trumpets the press release.
CTV is encouraging viewers to come out to each venue and populate the background. In Halifax, the show will be at the Maritime Museum, in Montreal at Place Jacques-Cartier, in Toronto at Dundas Square, in Calgary at the CPR Pavilion and in Vancouver at Bridges Restaurant.
The tour will also allow crews at 9 Channel Nine Court in Toronto to spruce up the show's permanent set so the following Monday viewers will see a brand new Canada AM set.
