TORONTO - The FAN 590 Toronto announced yesterday that Gord Stellick will move from the afternoons to the mornings, joining Don Landry for listeners' early drive to work.
Stellick, who starts August 16th, replaces long-time co-host Pat Marsden, who left the station
earlier this year.
The station also announced that Toronto Raptors announcer Chuck Swirsky will take Stellick's spot in the afternoon, with the Chuck Swirsky Show, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and that it has renewed carriage of Grapeline - with Don Cherry and Brian Williams Canada's longest-running syndicated radio show. Grapeline enters its 21st year this season.
As well, the station and the basketball team have decided to can the very-confusing-for-the-radio-listener TV/radio simulcast of Raptors game broadcasts and will soon have a new, radio-only team in place.
