Montréal, - Electroline Equipment Inc. has announced today that it is acquiring VisionTeq Inc., a North American corporation based in Fort Lauderdale (USA), specializing in broadband RF products. The transaction is part of an integrated strategy aimed at building a more competitive corporation that offers a broader range of headend and field management products designed for the cable telecommunications marketplace.

As part of the agreement, VisionTeq becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electroline and operations will be combined to leverage Sales, Marketing and After-Sales Support structures under the leadership of John Vincent, Electroline's current President and CEO. John Still, co-founder of VisionTeq, remains on board as Vice-President General Manager of the Fort Lauderdale facility and will continue to be supported by Gennadiy Tsvey, co-founder and current Vice-President of Engineering.

As indicated by John Vincent: "This announcement marks a key milestone in our growth strategy. With the addition of VisionTeq, cable operators can now benefit from a wider choice of high caliber products to maximize the performance of their broadband services". John Still stated: "This partnership can only bring good things to both companies. Everyone at VisionTeq is very excited, especially with the new product development opportunities that naturally exist when you combine such highly specialized, yet complementary, expertise together".

Electroline has already captured a leadership position with both its addressable and drop amplifier product lines and intends to fully capitalize on VisionTeq's know-how to enhance its capabilities.
