Banff Festival Announces Non-Fiction Rockies Winners

The Banff World Media Festival continued the 2011 Rockies awards program with the Non-Fiction Rockies ceremony. Hosted by Mike Holmes-home improvement icon and star of HGTV Canada’s Holmes Inspection-the Non-Fiction Rockies honoured the winners of the BANFF International Program Competition in the Reality, Documentary and Lifestyle categories.

“As the success of our host Mike Holmes indicates, Non-Fiction programming has taken off in a huge way in the last few years,” said Georges Leclere, Director of Awards and Competitions for the Banff World Media Festival. “The new attention to this genre has brought some incredibly talented people to the space, and this is definitely reflected in the quality of our nominees and winners. “
