Bell Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund announced today its support for 22 film projects through its Script Development Program. The slate includes new and already-announced projects in all phases of script development, from story optioning and first and second drafts, to polish and packaging, and final-drafts.
Included among the projects are a treatment by Michael Dowse (FUBAR, Goon), the story optioning of Joseph Boyden’s Scotiabank Giller Prize winning novel Through Black Spruce, the second draft of a feature-film adaptation of Miriam Toews’ Governor General’s Award-winning novel A Complicated Kindness, and first features by celebrated Globe and Mail columnist Johanna Schneller and acclaimed television writer Matt Watts (Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays).
