Blue Ant Media becomes the first specialty channel group to allow its programming to be stored in the cloud, for later viewing, on VMedia’s VCloud TV. Viewers will now be able to watch all of their favourite shows on Bite, T&E and Cottage Life, at their convenience within seven days of their initial broadcast, at no additional cost.
VMedia launched its unique VCloud TV platform in April 2024, initially offering 18 over the air channels, including all the major U.S. and Canadian networks such as CTV, CBC, Global, NBC, CBC and ABC. Blue Ant Media’s permission to offer its channels on VCloud TV marks the expansion of the platform to encompass the specialty channels that VMedia offers to its subscribers.
The VCloudTV PVR solution is easy to use “scroll-back TV” featuring the fast, intuitive interface that has become a trademark of the VMedia experience, and an easy to manage recording function that makes it almost impossible for subscribers to miss their favourite shows. Any subscriber to BITE, T & E and Cottage Life can now authorize VMedia to record all the shows on those channels for later viewing by the subscriber at anytime, up to seven days following the linear broadcast of the show.
