CTV announced today the four top-tier sponsors for The Amazing Race Canada. Air Canada (represented by Marketel), BlackBerry (represented by Starcom), INTERAC, and Chevrolet Canada will each play an integral role in this summer’s The Amazing Race Canada, helping the teams race to the finish line.

CTV Brand Partnerships is currently working with the four premiere brands on product integration, customized activations, and original branded content that celebrates Canada and showcases the best parts of our amazing country. The four brands will receive innovative brand extensions and various in-show integrations throughout the inaugural season, as well as an online presence on CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada, with specific details to be announced closer to broadcast.
Following the casting announcement in December 2012, The Amazing Race Canada has received thousands of applications. Applicants have been coming in from all across the country, comprised of pairings from all kinds of relationships.
Teams will race to the finish line, criss-crossing up to 9,000 kilometres. A stunning depiction of the Canadian fabric, the teams will travel through both the country’s urban centres as well as the most remote outposts in the land, all while exploring its broad cultural and ethnic diversity, wildlife, and iconic landmarks.
The Amazing Race Canada is based on The Amazing Race, the nine-time, Emmy award-winning program created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri that premiered in 2001 in the United States. van Munster, Doganieri, and Mark Vertullo are executive producers for Worldrace Productions, a division of Profiles Television. Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are executive producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The program is produced in association with ABC Studios.
The Amazing Race Canada will be the 12th international version to launch outside of the United States, joining Asia, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Israel, Latin America, Norway, Philippines, Ukraine and Vietnam as territories with an original production.
