Pelmorex Appoints SVP Global Advertising Sales

Canadian-owned Pelmorex Media Inc., parent company of The Weather Network, MétéoMédia, Travelers Network, Beat the Traffic and, today announced the appointment of Paula Presley to Senior Vice President of Global Advertising Sales. With more than 21 years of media experience, the former Yahoo! Canada executive is charged with leading all aspects of Pelmorex’s global sales revenue generation as the company continues to expand in key markets across North America and Europe.

Late last year, Pelmorex expanded its global presence with the acquisition of, Spain’s leading multi-platform weather information service. The acquisition marked Pelmorex’s first venture in a European market, following the steady expansion of the business in Canada and the U.S.

Prior to joining Pelmorex Media Inc., Presley served as Director of National Sales for CBC Television and most recently as Head of Sales at Yahoo! Canada, where she developed revolutionary solutions to her client’s unique sales market strategies. She is an active member of the advertising community, having sat on numerous industry boards including the Broadcast Executive Society, the National Advertising Benevolent Society and currently IAB Canada. This background has provided Paula a disciplined approach to sales management by which she will lead all aspects of global sales revenue generation at Pelmorex, including revenue management, trading technology and the sales force in each market.
