Rogers SONIC Edmonton Announces New Evening Weekend show

This week, Rogers Radio station SONiC Edmonton announced alternative rock / pop band USS’s Jason Parsons aka “The Human Kebob,” new evening weekend show SUBSONiC on Feb. 15, 2013  on SONiC 102.9.

As one half of the band USS, Parsons is bringing a wealth of musical experience and skills to his new show, SUBSONiC. This new radio show is the first of its kind in Edmonton, with an hour of modern rock music mixed and mashed-up with electronic dance music, creating beats listeners can’t help but rock-out to. SUBSONiC is a different take on the traditional contemporary hit radio show, featuring original songs and remixes from rock and alternative all-stars including Metric, Naked & Famous, Depeche Mode, DeadMau5, Foo Fighters, Foster the People, M83, The Killers, and Grouplove.

“Jason is an enthusiastic and creative musician who loves to entertain,” said Al Ford, Program Director and Ops Manager, SONiC 1029. “He has the creative talent, the enthusiasm, and the skills to make the show a lot of fun.”

No stranger to the Canadian music scene, Parsons has more than 15 years of musical experience, performing with USS and working on projects including multiple appearances as Maestro Fresh-Wes’s live DJ and Ed The Sock’s Ed & Red’s Night Party. Parsons has also collaborated with Canadian artists including Lights, illScarlett, KO, and Elise LeGrow.
