  • TSN congratulates world-class curler and TSN broadcaster Russ Howard for his induction to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – one of our country’s highest sporting honours.  Howard will officially enter Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony on October 16 in Toronto.

“All of us at TSN would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Russ Howard on his induction to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. His illustrious career as one of the world’s top curlers has few rivals and his deep passion for the game continues to shine through whenever he’s in the broadcast booth for TSN. Russ is a remarkable talent and we are thrilled that he’s been recognized by the Canadian sports community with this honour,” said Stewart Johnston, President, TSN.

“For many Canadians the name Howard is synonymous with curling and Russ continues to be one its greatest ambassadors. A move from the ice to the TSN broadcast booth hasn’t diminished his love for the game and the people who play it. The national and world championships, an Olympic gold medal, and now induction to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame only confirm what we already knew – Russ Howard is a true legend of the game,” said Vic Rauter, broadcaster, TSN.

TSN is the official broadcaster of the Canadian Curling Association’s Season of Champions events including the Tim Hortons Brier and Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
