    The Office of the Assembly of Ontario is seeking a creative and service-oriented Director to plan, manage and administer the provision of high-quality broadcast television coverage of the proceedings in the Legislative Assembly and its Committees.

    Use your strong communication and negotiation skills to ensure the delivery of television coverage for distribution to the public via satellite and cable companies, as well as broadcast services to members of the Press Gallery and the media. Internally, you will liaise with the Speaker and the Clerk as well as provide advice to Members and Assembly staff on the use of television and broadcast facilities. You are able to create a positive environment and establish cohesive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role also requires sensitivity, tact, integrity and good judgement. You will oversee the effective use and operation of the Media Studio, the provision of audio feeds to Hansard, and the operation and maintenance of broadcast equipment and facilities.

    Complementing your specialized knowledge and experience in managing a broadcast facility, a combination of formal training/education and at least 7 years of related experience, you will ensure that staff, equipment and facilities are available to record the legislative process and are in compliance with recording standards and television coverage guidelines of the Assembly, Broadcasting Act and CRTC rules and regulations. You are skilled at fostering positive working relationships and have a flair for facilitating and managing others. Superior problem-solving, judgement and analytical skills will contribute to your success in this position.

    The salary range for this position is $119,600 to $136,547 per annum.

    The Office of the Assembly is the administrative arm of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario (www.ontla.on.ca). Our mandate is to provide non-partisan support services to all Members of Provincial Parliament.
