Vancouver finds its "MOJO"

7/11/2002

Vancouver, - Corus Entertainment Inc. says it has raised testosterone levels across the country with the announcement today of an offshoot to its MOJO Radio format. Vancouver's CJNW will hit the airwaves as MOJO Radio, the All New AM 730, on August 6.

Launched last year in Toronto, MOJO Radio is billed as "irreverent, innovative and successful." The world's first and only talk radio station for guys, MOJO provides a forum for men to discuss and debate issues that matter to guys, from health and fitness to cars, careers, beers, business, women, and sports. Geared to males aged 25 - 54, its innovative style has proven to be both a ratings and audience winner.

Corus claims MOJO's share of tuning has increased by 21% since the format was introduced, and in that time circulation has increased 18.9% making it Toronto's fastest growing radio station.

"MOJO grabbed Toronto radio by the scruff of its neck and shook it up," said JJ Johnston, General Manager, Corus Radio Ontario. "Acceptance of this unique format is outstanding as evidenced by MOJO 's audience growth, so it makes sense to spin it off into another major Canadian market."

Corus Radio Vancouver says that whether at the Molson Indy, the PNE or even at the beach, men all over the lower mainland should be on the lookout for the MOJO models! They'll deliver
pizza to offices and warehouses, serve coffee and donuts at work sites and much more.

Look for programming announcements in the weeks ahead.
