BCAB names Paul Ski Broadcaster of the Year

Toronto, - Paul Ski, executive vice-president radio, CHUM Limited, has been named Broadcaster of the Year by the British Columbia
Association of Broadcasters (BCAB). In recognition of broadcasters that have made a significant and long-term contribution to the industry, the prestigious award was presented May 16, 2003 at the BCAB's 56th annual conference in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Ski is a career broadcaster with an extensive background in radio broadcasting having worked in many areas of management at CHUM Radio over the past 30 years. He is recognized as an expert in developing strategic plans to reposition and brand radio stations, and has spoken extensively on these topics to various broadcasters and industry groups.

Formerly VP/GM CHUM Western Operations including Vancouver radio stations CFUN-AM, CKST-AM and CHQM-FM, Paul was recently promoted to executive vice-president radio, CHUM Limited. In this new role, Ski oversees CHUM's 29 radio properties across Canada in addition to the CHUM Radio Network and CHUM Radio Sales.

The BCAB is a regional trade association representing the interests of the majority of private over-the-air radio and television broadcasters in the province. The association represents member stations in provincial
regulatory issues, legal issues pertaining to broadcasting and offers information and support on issues that effect private broadcasters in the province.
