  • Former TV anchor wants to bump off Ontario Labour Minister

    9/4/2003

HAMILTON - Former CHCH TV news anchor Jennifer Mossop is expected to be nominated as the Liberal Party candidate this week for the Ontario riding of Stoney Creek, according to the Hamilton Spectator newspaper.

She will be taking on incumbent Tory, and Labour Minister Brad Clark in the October 2nd Ontario provincial election.

The 43-year-old Mossop stepped into the breach when the former Liberal candidate withdrew after being charged with fraud.

Mossop has been a media columnist with the Spectator since her departure from CH over two years ago as CanWest took over the station.
