AldeaVision announces $475,000 order from major European telecom operator

Montreal, - AldeaVision Inc today announced receipt of a $475,000 order from a major European telecommunications operator for video networking equipment.
This equipment, scheduled for delivery between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter of this year, will be used by the operator to expand its existing national video broadcast network.
"We are very pleased with this order which will positively impact our revenues in the first half of 2003," said Lionel Bentolila, AldeaVision's President and CEO.
The Company also reported that with recent political events in Venezuela, it has experienced a significant increase in the usage of its video services from that country. "Many international news agencies and broadcasters are now relying on AldeaVision for the transmission of their news
out of Caracas," added Mr. Bentolila. "Since we deployed our video node in Caracas in partnership with CANTV; the national telephone company in Venezuela; AldeaVision has been building a solid reputation for service quality and responsiveness. Our customers are quickly getting used to the all-fiber reliable transmission, ease of use and instant booking characteristics
of our service."
