by -- Broadcaster Magazine

RAYMOND, MEóMay 11, 2001óDielectric unveiled a new one-of-a-kind antenna at the National Association of Broadcasterís show in Las Vegas on April 23, 2001. The Dielectric TUV Series Dualband antenna combines both highband VHF(CH 7-13) and UHF signals into a common pylon antenna.

Featuring the latest in state-of-the-art design this new antenna allows for a full 316 kW effective radiated power (ERP) for VHF, and 1 MW ERP for UHF signals. It is an ideal solution for the highband VHF broadcaster who has been allocated a UHF DTV channel, yet has no additional tower capacity. Used in conjunction with UHF/VHF shared line tees and EHT line, this system offers minimal change in windloading while introducing DTV service.

The Dualband received awards from both Digital Television (Editorís Pick of Show) and TV Technology (STAR 2001) at the NAB show. Patent is pending on the TUV Series Dualband antenna.
