Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Division capped a highly successful NAB2005 by winning a Digital TV "DTV Pick of Show" award for its PowerCD(TM)
Intelligent Transmitter. Introduced at NAB2005 as the industry's most cost-effective, high-power UHF ATSC transmitter, the PowerCD Intelligent Transmitter is designed to maximize coverage and operational efficiencies while minimizing costs throughout the life of the transmitter.

Harris' new flagship model for the digital television (DTV) market is ideal for stations seeking a transmitter that can satisfy FCC power maximization requirements. It also is Harris' most advanced transmitter to date, featuring an IT-friendly design for the modern broadcast infrastructure, with Harris' internal Linux-based eCDi transmitter network monitoring and control system that optimizes remote operation.

"Harris is honored that the PowerCD Intelligent
Transmitter received this most prestigious award," said Dale Mowry, vice president and general manager of Harris Broadcast Communications Division's Television Broadcast Systems business unit. "The PowerCD is gaining momentum in the marketplace with its clear advantage of helping
television stations achieve power maximization in a cost-efficient manner".
