XM Canada Appoints Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

XM Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald McKenzie as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, McKenzie will be responsible for all sales and marketing functions of XM Canada, including retail, automotive distribution channels and listener care.

McKenzie has more than 22 years experience in sales and marketing in a variety of industries, including the past 10 years in Canada's wireless telecommunications arena where he played an instrumental role in the design and build of distribution channels for Clearnet, now TELUS Mobility.

"I am so excited that an executive of Donald's calibre has joined our team to lead XM Canada's sales, marketing, promotion and advertising strategy," said Stephen Tapp, President and COO of XM Canada. "As we grow our customer base and as XM Canada expands our innovative and exclusive content across multiple distribution platforms, his extensive background and experience in wireless telecommunications is a perfect fit for the potential millions of subscribers that will be XM Canada."

McKenzie began his career in advertising and product marketing where he worked with Ogilvy & Mather, Young & Rubicam, Faberge, Cadbury Beverages and CPAS Systems. As an innovator in the wireless telecommunications industry and related fields, McKenzie has been recognized for strengthening sales and marketing channels and creating a national retail chain for mobile phones.
