Crossroads Television System will now have two additional homes in Alberta. CKCS-TV is setting up local offices in downtown Calgary.

CTS is proud to announce the appointment of Drew Martin, Regional Director of Production for Alberta and Veronica Jubinville, Associate Producer/Host of “Star Report.” Rounding out the Calgary team will be Office Manager, Heather Sinamano.

With the launch of CTS just around the corner, Drew Martin and Richard M. Landau, Senior Executive Producer â€" Balanced Programming have been meeting with members of the many world religions represented in Alberta to organize the broadcasting of multi-faith programs. In keeping with our mandate for independent production, CTS will be calling for submissions in October for program ideas from local producers.

To encourage local production, Alberta producers will get the chance to apply for a Mentorship Fund set up by CTS. The fund is designed to train upcoming members of the local television production industry.

In addition to family-oriented programs such as "7th Heaven", "Full House" and "Happy Days", CTS will also be airing several locally-produced shows. "Top Story", hosted by a prominent Calgarian, is a one-hour daily current affairs program that takes a closer look at world events as they relate to Canadians from a faith perspective. "Close Up", a weekly documentary series, delves deeper into the lives of prominent Albertans through in-depth, passionate, and entertaining interviews. This winter, watch for “A Priest, A Monk, and A Rabbi…” an un-biased and light-hearted look at the lives of leaders from a variety of faiths. The Calgary CTS schedule has something for everyone.

“We’re looking forward to broadcasting in this family-friendly province,” says Drew Martin. “CTS programming connects with the lifestyles and values of Albertans.”
