Producer Michael Burns along with CTV and
project managing partners Arts and Communications, Nuria Bronfman, and
Manifest Communications proudly announce My Canada - a series of director-narrated documentary films set to premiere in Vancouver in 2010.

Canada's top filmmakers create iconoclastic, personal film "odes" to their hometowns, capturing a cosmopolitan picture of contemporary Canada. The announcement comes as CTV prepares to salute Canadian and international
filmmakers at tonight's eTalk Festival Party.

A celebration of Canada's film talent and the country's diversity, My Canada is the brainchild of Michael Burns, Executive Producer of Guy Maddin's My Winnipeg. Building on My Winnipeg's critical acclaim and grass roots success, the My Canada series includes new feature-length documentary films. Internationally-renowned filmmakers confirmed to date include Atom Egoyan
(Victoria), Julia Kwan (Vancouver), Gary Burns (Calgary), Charles Binamé (Montréal), Don McKellar (Toronto), Patricia Rozema (Sarnia), and Thom Fitzgerald (Halifax).

The My Canada films are planned to premiere in Vancouver in 2010, before hitting the road on a cross-country tour of unique cultural events later that year.

CTV's support of My Canada is made possible through the CTV/CHUM public benefits package.
