Canadian music licensing company Re:Sound Music has proposed a Satellite Radio Tariff 4 for 2011.

The proposal, which was filed with the Copyright Board of Canada on March 31, 2010, is a renewal of the current Satellite Radio Tariff, which applies to the years 2007 to 2010.

The proposed tariff seeks the same royalty rates that were initially proposed by Re:Sound for 2007 to 2010. It also includes some changes to the tariff's administrative provisions, based on Re:Sound's experience administering the current tariff.

The company also announced its proposal for a Background Music Tariff 3 for 2011, which it filed with the Copyright Board on March 31, 2010.

The proposed tariff makes no change to the background music royalty rates proposed by Re:Sound for 2010. It includes some changes to make administration of the tariff more accurate and efficient.

Details of the proposed adjustments can be found at http://cb-cda.gc.ca/tariffs-tarifs/proposedproposes/music-musique-e.html
