The Banff World Media Festival continued the 2011 Rockies awards program with the Rockies Gala. Hosted by star comedian and actress Caroline Rhea, the Rockies Gala honoured Special Achievement Award winners-including Edward Asner, Eugene Levy, Howie Mandel, Witness and Nick News' Linda Ellerbee-as well as the Grand Prize Winners of the Banff World Media Awards Program Competition.
The Rockies Grand Prizes are selected by a special Grand Jury, and are a special honour conferred to the very best programs recognized by the awards.
