The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television has announced M·A·C Cosmetics will be its exclusive Colour Cosmetics Partner for the upcoming Canadian Screen Awards.

The Academy has an exclusive, two-year deal with M·A·C Cosmetics, which will provide make-up for all events during Canadian Screen Week.

The Academy is a national, non-profit, professional association that promotes achievement in Canadian film, television and digital media; the Academy's Canadian Screen Awards is an annual awards show to celebrate the best in film, television and digital media programming and content.

M·A·C Cosmetics is also the official sponsor of the 2024 CSAs for Best Achievement in Make-up (Television) and Best Achievement in Make-up (Film). In addition, M·A·C will host make-up trend presentations on behalf of the Academy, for its members and partners.

“This iconic Canadian brand represents the glamour, drama and cutting edge artistry that is the image of the Canadian Screen Awards. I can’t think of a better partner,” said Academy CEO Helga Stephenson.

“As a proud supporter of the film and television industries, we are thrilled to announce our new level of support for the Academy and celebrate 65 years of awarding Canadian talent,” noted M·A·C Cosmetics Canadian Brand Manager, Taposhi Gandhi.

M·A·C Cosmetics has a reputation for providing support to the film and television industries globally, including some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals and award ceremonies. This year, M·A·C Cosmetics has supported over 450 films and over 500 television productions around the world, including many based here in Canada.

“We are excited to go back to M·A·C,” added Jennifer Stewart, Academy Director, Marketing & Development. “They are well-known in the industry and are the brand of choice for many professional make-up artists.”

Canadian Screen Week runs March 3 to 9, 2024.

A two-hour CBC Broadcast Gala of the Canadian Screen Awards, hosted by Martin Short, will air Sunday, March 9th.
