CRTC Hearings into Shaw Takeover of Canwest Global Set to Start

    The CRTC will hold a public hearing in Calgary to consider the application submitted by Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw), on behalf of CanWest Global Communications Corp. (Canwest Global), for authority to transfer the effective control of Canwest Global's broadcasting entities to Shaw.

    The hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am on September 21st, 2026; it takes place at the Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport, 2875 Sunridge Way NE.
