CTV News Barrie’s CTV NEWS AT 6 is up 48% among viewers aged 25-54, according to data released in BBM’s Fall 2012 Ratings Report.

With more than 76,000 viewers on average tuning in each night at 6 p.m., CTV NewsBarrie’s CTV NEWS AT 6 is by far the region’s #1 local newscast.

CTV NEWS AT 6 is also the #1 program on CTV Two’s program line-up for the Barrie market.

“We are very proud of the hard work that our team does every day finding and telling the stories that matter to the people of our region,” said Ruth Anderson, News Director, CTV Barrie.

Named Best Newscast (medium market) last year by the Radio, Television, Digital News Association of Canada, CTV News Barrie is a leader in conventional news with innovations like its Cottage Traffic App, Cottage Report, and Winter Watch Report for mobile devices.

“CTV Barrie has always been a big part of the community and these numbers demonstrate that further,” said Don Mumford, Regional Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Barrie. “These results are proof that our programming on CTV Two Barrie provides a valuable service to both our audiences and our advertisers.”

CTV Two is a division of Bell Media, which is owned by BCE Inc.
