CTV Toronto’s 17th Annual Toy Mountain campaign in support of The Salvation Army has now officially wrapped with Tom Brown and his honourary elves announcing they have collected nearly 155,000 toys, exceeding the campaign’s ambitious goal of 150,000.
"This year we are very thankful to all the long-time supporters and partners of the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign," said Major John Murray of The Salvation Army. “The spirit of giving was evident and because of the generosity of Torontonians we can now guarantee that every child who registered for a toy through our campaign will have a smile on Christmas morning."
“I’d like to thank everyone who donated to the campaign – especially this year,” said Paul Rogers, Senior Vice-President, CTV Toronto. “This campaign is a major priority for us, and we can’t help but feel that Torontonians have really stepped up to save Christmas for thousands of children following a shortage caused by theft.”
Toy Mountain and CTV Toronto would like to thank Toronto Area Ford Dealers, McDonald’s Restaurants, Best Buy, participating GTA shopping centres, Longo’s, Boston Pizza, and Uncle Neil and Friends for their generous support of the 16th Annual Toy Mountain campaign.
