CTV's Canada AM to Broadcast From Las Vegas

The show-stopping entertainment of Las Vegas comes to Canada AM all week with some of the biggest names changing the face of the entertainment capital of the world. From Monday, Nov. 26 to Friday, Nov. 30th, Canada AM takes viewers down the famous strip including interviews with the city’s biggest movers and shakers.

“We’re giving viewers an insider’s look at Las Vegas, where Canadians not only enjoy visiting but are making a tremendous impact,” said Lis Travers, Executive Producer, Canada AM. “From Celine Dion and Shania Twain to Cirque du Soleil, Canadian acts take centre stage in Vegas, making invaluable contributions to the city’s artistic scene and attracting tourists from all over the world.”

Monday, Nov. 26

CELINE DION – MADE IN CANADA: Close to two million Canadians visit Las Vegas each year. But there are others who have helped make Vegas the go-to destination, and no one more so than Celine Dion. Canada AM’s Beverly Thomson speaks to the undisputed Queen of Vegas, who talks about making Las Vegas her home, on and off the stage, and how she balances family and stays grounded.

Tuesday, Nov. 27

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL & CANADIANS IN VEGAS: Canada’s Cirque du Soleil has taken Las Vegas by storm. Marci Ien gets a behind-the-scenes look at Cirque du Soleil’s newest Las Vegas spectacular – Zarkana – and a lesson in what it takes to be a Cirque acrobat performing for thousands.

 CANADIANS STIRRING UP VEGAS: They mix, they serve, they cook, they manage – Canadians are shaking up Vegas from the top of the world famous Bellagio Hotel – to the prestigious Joel Robuchon Restaurants. We will take you behind the scenes at Vegas hotspots where some exceptionally talented Canadians are leaving their mark.

Wednesday, Nov. 28

ROBERT DE NIRO & HIGH ROLLIN’ IN VEGAS: Legendary actor Robert De Niro tries his hand as hotelier with the world’s first Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace. De Niro sits down exclusively with Canada AM, sharing how Vegas has changed since he starred in the film Casino, and how he balances all of his roles these days, from actor to grandfather. Also, from golden sundaes to racing Ferraris on the speedway, Marci Ien explores the high roller’s experience in Vegas.

Thursday, Nov. 29

DONNY & MARIE OSMOND: Canada AM heads backstage to chat with Donny Osmond minutes before show time, where he reminisces with Marci Ien about the Jackson 5 and Donny and Marie days, and even serenades her. And, after more than five decades in the business, Marie Osmond hasn’t lost her spark. She opens up to Ien about performing, battling depression, giving back, and how she lives life to the fullest.

Friday, Nov. 30

SHANIA TWAIN: Saturday, Dec. 1 marks the opening night of the biggest show in Shania Twain’s career. Touted as the best-selling female country artist of all time, Twain is set to begin a two-year engagement at Caesars Palace, where she kicks off her stage comeback with Shania: Still The One, the first live performance for the megastar in eight years. Canada AM speaks to the newest name on the strip who talks about the pressures of performing, her move to Vegas, and how her humble Canadian roots keep her grounded.
