The stars are set to shine brighter on Global this Fall when Hollywood heavyweights make their debut on the network’s Fall 2012/13 schedule. Dennis Quaid, Lucy Liu and Scott Speedman are just a few of the big-screen talent heading to television this season to headline an enviable slate of new programs on Global’s primetime line-up. From edge-of-your seat dramas to side-splitting comedies, fans have a lot to look forward to as Global brings the most anticipated new series of the season alongside rock-solid returning hits to viewers nationwide.

Glitz, glamour, mobsters and…cowboys?  Vegas kicks off Global’s impressive list of new dramas. Starring A-listers Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Michael Chiklis (The Shield), the series makes its much anticipated premiere on Tuesday, September 25th. The show is inspired by the true story of former Las Vegas Sheriff, Ralph Lamb (Quaid) – a fourth generation rancher tasked with bringing order to Las Vegas in the 1960s. Lamb wants to be left to run his ranch, but Las Vegas is starting to intrude. Recalling Lamb's command as a military police officer during WWII, the Mayor appeals to his sense of duty and asks him to look into a murder of a casino worker. So begins Lamb’s clash with Vincent Savino (Chiklis), a ruthless Chicago gangster intent on interfering in his quest for peace.

From desert dealing to underwater intrigue, Canadian Scott Speedman’s (Underworld) new drama  LastResort spearheads Global’s primetime schedule Thursday nights this fall premiering on September 27th. From executive producer/writer Shawn Ryan (The Shield, The Unit) comes the high-action tale of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Submarine Colorado and what happens when an innocent crew is forced to go against their country’s inexplicable direct firing orders and then take refuge on an exotic, tropical island as they try to clear their names and hopefully return home. Last Resort is a dramatic, international thriller about treachery, treason and nuclear brinksmanship.

Next, it’s  Elementary making its highly anticipated debut on Thursday, September 27th. This clever modern-day series follows Detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller, Dexter) and Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Liu, Charlie’s Angels) as they crack the NYPD’s most impossible cases. Following a stint in rehab, eccentric Sherlock escapes to Manhattan where he’s forced to live with his worst nightmare – a sober companion, Dr. Watson. A successful surgeon until she lost her license, Watson views her current job as another opportunity to help people as well as pay a penance. Despite their unique relationship and the circumstances that brought them together, Sherlock and Watson demonstrate a rapport that is undeniable.

From the brownstones of Manhattan to  MadeinJersey, viewers are in for a light-hearted treat with the addition of this new series starring Janet Montgomery (Black Swan). The drama centers on Martina Garretti (Montgomery) – a young, working class woman who uses her street smarts to compete among her colleagues at a prestigious law firm in New York City. Martina finds her firm’s cutthroat landscape challenging, but what she lacks in an Ivy League education, she more than makes up for with tenacity and blue collar insight. Made in Jersey premieres Friday, September 28th.

It’s a scorcher with  ChicagoFire anchoring Global’s Wednesday primetime line-up. Beginning October 10th, the action-driven drama starring Jesse Spencer (House) follows the everyday heroes of Chicago Firehouse 51. With big reputations and hefty egos at play among the firefighters, rescue team and paramedics, coupled with the pressure to perform, there's plenty of guilt and blame to go around when a tragedy claims the life one of their own. But the complex men and women of the Chicago Fire Department understand one thing – when it's "go-time," they put aside their differences and put everything on the line to save those in distress.

Global lightens the mood with Matthew Perry’s (Friends) new comedy,  GoOn. The half-hour series centers on Ryan King (Perry), a recently widowed sportscaster whose boss forces him to enter group counseling before coming back to the office. Ryan reluctantly joins a support group with one goal in mind: get in, get out and get back on the air as quickly as possible. Ryan's total lack of interest in healing makes waves, but this could just be exactly what the group needs. Go On premieres on Tuesday, September 11th for two weeks before moving to its regular Wednesday night rotation at 9pm ET/PT beginning September 26th. Plus, starting tonight GlobalTV.com and Video on Demand (VOD) offer fans a special month-long preview to sample the hilarious return of one of television’s most famous faces.

Then Emmy-winner and executive producer Jimmy Fallon is out to prove that fatherhood is pretty cool with  GuysWithKids. Making its debut on the Global schedule starting Tuesday, September 11th, the series follows three thirty-something dads trying to hold on to their youth, while holding onto their new babies’ hands. Thankfully, Chris (Jesse Bradford, The West Wing), Nick (Zach Cregger, Friends with Benefits) and Gary (Anthony Anderson, Law & Order) have each other to help navigate their survival as new dads, while still trying desperately to remain dudes.

The laughs keep coming when the wacky new comedy  AnimalPractice joins Sunday’s comedy line-up as of September 30th. The show follows Dr. George Coleman (Justin Kirk, Weeds), a top-dog New York veterinarian with an unorthodox style of operating. His staff – which includes a monkey and Dr. Doug Jackson (Canadian Tyler Labine, Reaper) – come along for the ride in this series where the animals are running the asylum.

Building upon a roster of successful seasons, the following addictive fan favourites will return this fall on Global: Parenthood (Tuesday, September 11th – 10pm ET/PT), Bones (Monday, September 17th – 8pm ET/PT), Survivor: Philippines (Wednesday, September 19th – 8pm ET/PT), Glee (debuts on an all new night, Thursdays – 9pm ET/PT beginning September 13th), Hawaii Five-0 (Monday, September 24th – 10pm ET/PT), NCIS (Tuesday, September 25th – 8pm ET/PT,) NCIS: LA (Tuesday, September 25th – 9pm ET/PT) and The Good Wife (Sunday, September 30th – 10pm ET/PT), just to name a few.
