History Makers International announces today the opening of the 2024 History Makers Awards. Presented during History Makers International on January 25th-27th at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York, the History Makers Awards recognize the very best in History, Current Affairs and Non-Fiction programming, across TV and digital platforms.

"Our History Makers Awards give us the opportunity to recognize the best programs from around the World and then present them in an entertaining way at our event to our delegates. Many programs find new buyers and markets as a result of History Makers International exposure," Bill Nemtin, Executive Producer of History Makers International said.

The History Makers Awards are a part of History Makers International, a three-day event that brings together the world's best program makers to delve into future trends in history, archives, and investigative and current affairs programming.

Awards are presented to top programs each year in categories selected by international juries and to an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution over a number of years.

"It is always humbling to receive recognition from one's peers in the industry, Nicole Rittenmeyer, Producer/Owner of New Animal Productions said in regards to their wins for the programs 102 Minutes That Changed America and JFK: 3 Shots that Changed America. "History Makers Awards are exclusively open to producers of factual historical content, to be recognized here is an exceptional honor."

This year, the History Makers Awards will introduce "Best Social Change Production" as a new category to the program. This award will recognize programs that spotlight or incite social change to their subjects and/or audiences, placing a renewed emphasis on the importance of socially responsible programming.
