Beginning Sunday, February 17, Niagara Regional Councillors Peter Kormos and Andy Petrowski join NewsTalk 610 CKTB as hosts of The Region, a one-hour, in depth discussion and debate of the major issues facing Niagara’s 12 municipalities and the region as a whole.

Peter Kormos, a former NDP MPP, and current regional councillor for Welland, is not one to shy away from controversy and is always ready to offer his opinion. Andy Petrowski, member of regional council representing St. Catharines, is a lifetime resident of the Garden City. He has a passion for politics, able to cut through the political rhetoric to get to the heart of the matter. Together Kormos and Petrowski will offer their insights, opinions, and in-depth analysis with the newsmakers of the Niagara Region.

“I’m excited to be involved with CKTB, one of Ontario’s strongest radio stations,” says Kormos. “Andy Petrowski and I come from opposite ends of the spectrum and that’s ok, it’s just going to make the conversation that much livelier.”

Petrowski adds “I look forward to locking horns with co-host and fellow regional councillor, Peter Kormos, as we debate the hottest issues in Niagara".

Newstalk 610 CKTB Brand & News Director Tim Parent says the goal of the program “is to have an open and honest conversation about what’s happening in the Niagara Region and why it matters.”
