Jim Boyle, well known retail advertising sales leader died last week in the University Hospital, London Ont., following a lengthily illness.
Boyle, who was born in Dundas, Ontario, began his retail advertising sales career in the early 60's at the Hamilton Spectator where he set sales records. Recruited by Al Bruner at CHCH-TV in the mid 60's where he sold local retail TV sales.
Tommy Darling of Radio stations CHML/CKDS-FM Hamilton recruited him where he quickly became their leading retail sales person. In 1970 Cedric Haynes, President of the RSB, Radio Sales Bureau, Toronto recruited him to travel across Canada training local retail sales personnel .
In 1972 Rick Richardson recruited him to head up sales at CJBK London where he remained until illness forced his retirement in 1995.
