Rogers Media today announced the appointment of Christos Nikitopoulos as Vice-President, Revenue Planning and Strategy, Rogers Media Inc., effective immediately.

Nikitopoulos will lead the development of a centralized Revenue Planning and Strategy team that will work across Rogers Media's television, publishing, digital and radio platforms to deliver maximum yield and growth for the company's assets.

Reporting to Shannon Valliant, Vice-President, Financial Operations, Rogers Media, Nikitopoulos will work collaboratively with Rogers Media's various divisions and functions-including sales, marketing, research, finance and content-to develop and execute the Rogers Media strategic revenue plan.

"As Rogers Media continues to drive the individual and collective expansion of our powerful brands, Christos brings added strategic vision from the content and business side-both functionally and from a management perspective," said Valliant.  "He's the ideal candidate to help us formulate and execute an integrated cross-platform revenue generation strategy."

Nikitopoulos brings more than 18 years of experience to this role.  Most recently, he was Vice-President, Sports, at Shaw Media, and Vice-President of Programming and Revenue Planning at Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, where he led the cross-platform programming and revenue strategies for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.  Nikitopoulos has also held a number of progressive positions at the CBC, including Revenue Management, Digital Content and Program Operations.
