RTNDA Canada, The Association of Electronic
Journalists has honoured the best in electronic journalism in Canada. RTNDA Canada presented the coveted RTNDA Awards at the National Awards Gala in Vancouver.

This year RTNDA Canada created five new award categories to recognize outstanding videography, use of sound, new media, information programming and diversity.

The RTNDA "Diversity Tool Kit" which was released across the country in January offers practical solutions to bring diversity to our stories and to our newsrooms. To acknowledge those accomplishments RTNDA created a new
Diversity Award. Congratulations to Global Calgary, CBC Radio 99.1 Toronto, CBC National Radio News and The Weather Network for winning these inaugural national/network awards.

National TV winners include Global Calgary, Global Winnipeg and Global BC with four awards in total and CTV BC, CTV Toronto and CTV Regina with a total of four awards. Other winning stations include CBC North Yellowknife,
A-Channel London, CHAT-TV Redcliff, CHBC-TV Kelowna, Citytv Toronto, Citytv Calgary and CBC News Vancouver.
