The Movie Network, Movie Central Announce Start of Production on 'Transporter'

QVF Inc., together with Corus Entertainment's Movie Central (Western Canada) and Astral's The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) announced today that the 12-part action series Transporter has begun production in Toronto. The series will shoot until November 2024 and is set to premiere on HBO Canada in 2024. Canadian Rachel Skarsten (Servitude) is the newest addition to the cast in the role of Delia, alongside already announced cast members Chris Vance (Prison Break), Andrea Osvart (Duplicity), Francois Berléand (The Transporter 1,2, 3) and Delphine Chanéac (Splice).

Transporter is produced by Canadian Susan Murdoch (Dan for Mayor) for QVF Inc. and Klaus Zimmermann (Borgias) for Atlantique Productions. The series features an all-star Canadian production team that will take the helm in Toronto, including Executive Producers Fred Fuchs (Camelot), Robert Cooper (Stargate), Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie (Stargate) and directors Stephen Williams (Lost), Bruce McDonald (Trigger) and Andy Mikita (Stargate), alongside international partners, including Executive Producers Alexander Ruemelin (The Volcano) and Luc Besson.

Transporter is a France/Canada international treaty co-production produced by Atlantique Productions SA and QVF Inc. in association with broadcast partners The Movie Network and Movie Central as well as M6 (France), RTL (Germany), and HBO/Cinemax (US).

The fast-paced, action-packed series is based on the popular film franchise of the same name created by Europacorp's Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.
