UP! 93.1 Fredericton, Goes To Air

Newcap Radio is giving listeners in Fredericton something they have never heard before. Introducing a positive, feel good radio format, UP! 93.1. It’s a simple concept – it’s all music that makes you feel great! It doesn’t matter when it was recorded, if it’s a song that makes you happy UP! 93.1 is going to play it!

After extensive research Newcap Radio discovered that residents of Fredericton want a feel good station with personalities that talk about the city and the lives of those in it.

UP! 93.1 Program Director Kate Buick says, “A feel good format is something that is new to the market, and new to Newcap Radio. The company decided Fredericton is the perfect place to start this brand, because the city has such a positive vibe. it’s a great place to work, play and raise a family, and UP! 93.1 will reflect that!”

UP! 93.1 will give listeners feel good music from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today. It all starts June 24th with “The Wake Up! Show with Peter, Jenn and John.” Peter Potipcoe and Jenn Graham will entertain with feel good music and conversations about local issues. Joining them with local news is John McNeil, a community newspaper editor and former writer for The Cape Breton Post and Brunswick News. UP! 93.1 will also keep listeners connected with newsman Kevin Worrell in the afternoons, and news every weekend with Jon Munn.
