Invites are going out in the mail for WAB 2013. You can be Staying Ahead of the Curve by going online to www.wab.ca today to register online and book your hotel room at the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel & Golf Course.

Wednesday, June 5, 2013 marks our 79th Annual Conference kick off with the WAB Golf Classic and dinner perfect for relaxed networking and meeting one on one with business contacts. Our business sessions start early on Thursday with reports from CBSC, CAB, BBM Canada, CRTC and the WAB AGM – really a one-stop shop to hear industry updates from broadcast pioneers and leaders.

There will be informative speeches from Dr. Brian Little, Michael “Pinball” Clemons, and Dr. Steve Olson of SAIT on what the broadcast student of 2013 expects when they graduate. The CRTC Meet & Greet is the perfect time to meet CRTC staff and Commissioners in a friendly atmosphere.

WAB Gold Medal, Leader of Tomorrow, Broadcast Order of Achievement (formerly CAB Quarter and Century Club) and Hall of Fame awards will be handed out at the President’s Reception and Gala – go to www.wab.ca to nominate a star in Western broadcasting.

Running right before the Banff World Media Festival, June will be buzzing with broadcasters and the leaders in Canadian and international media! Register before March 12, 2013 to be entered into a draw to win a complimentary upgrade to your hotel room for the duration of your stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs!

Go to www.wab.ca to see the program, book your hotel room and registration details. Email info@wab.ca anytime with any questions or suggestions on how WAB can be Staying Ahead of the Curve!
