TV Hamilton Ltd. - Cable 14 is a non-commercial community TV station owned and operated by three broadcast and communication companies: Cogeco Cable Inc., Mountain Cablevision and Source Cable Ltd. We have an immediate opening for a Systems Technician/Administrator. This is a Permanent Full-time position with a competitive salary and full company benefits.

The successful applicant will provide a high degree of technical service and support to the organization and to staff and maintain and sustain all computer equipment and programs.

The successful applicant must ensure a high level of security and dependability of all computer and internet based systems. This position requires the candidate to be responsible for all elements related to automated playback of taped and live programming on the channel. Capturing, encoding and scheduling of all Cable 14 programming is the responsibility of the Systems Technician/Administrator.

We are looking for a real people person with outstanding organisation and communication skills. The ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules combined with a positive attitude is also required. Dependability is a must.
The successful candidate will have detailed computer experience and be proficient with operating systems on both the PC and Mac platforms. Technical qualifications must include a degree or certificate in computer science or network administration, coupled with a minimum 2 years experience in an end-user support role. He or she must also have a valid driver’s license, and be able to work weekends and evenings and should expect to be on-call in the event of failures.
