VICTORIA - Veteran C-FAX 1070 AM talk show host Joe Easingwood has signed a new three-year contract with the station, which will take him through his 25th year on the air at the station.

Easingwood came to C-FAX in the summer of 1981, originally to host a talk show in the early afternoon. He later moved to his morning slot, "C-FAX Newsline" and has been a consistent ratings leader, beating every other show on the air in the market, says the company.

"Joe is one of a kind. He knows this community inside out and has a terrific sense for what listeners want to talk about. After all the years he has been on the air in this market, he is still at the top of his game," said C-FAX vice-president, Terry Spence.
