CKLQ-AM Brandon
BRANDON, Man. - Riding Mountain Broadcasting, operators of 880 CKLQ and 94.7 Star FM, was recognized this month by the Canadian Cancer Society.

The stations won the provincial media award from the society's Manitoba division for "outstanding contribution and support by CKLQ and Star FM for the Canadian Cancer Society," says the press release. Representatives of the Westman Communications-owned company will attend the award ceremony, which will be held in Winnipeg on November 11.

"This is indeed an honour," said Riding Mountain general manager Don Kille. "We have enjoyed our association with the Cancer Society over the years and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future."
