Popular ex sportscaster, Hub Beaudry dies

OTTAWA - Popular former sports broadcaster Howard "Hub" Beaudry has died at the age of 75. Beaudry joined CBC television in Ottawa in 1968, and covered sports for the station for the next 24 years.

A native of Massey, Ontario, near Sudbury, Beaudry was blessed with a great sense of humour and a passion for his work.

Beaudry is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Timothy, and grandson Craig. He was predeceased by his son Philip.
