VANCOUVER - Citytv Vancouver announced today that Breakfast Television's Karen Khunkhun has given notice that she intends to move on to pursue new opportunities. Khunkhun joined BT in November 2003 as the traffic and weather specialist and has been performing as the live-eye host since September 2004.

"Karen is very talented and her energy and enthusiasm will be missed by the entire team," said Breakfast Television Supervising Producer, Tamara Poirier. "She has been a big part of BT and we wish her the best."

"Working on Breakfast Television for the past year has been a pivotal point in my professional career," said Khunkhun. "I had the pleasure of waking up with Vancouverites every morning and showing them some of the amazing people and events in this city."

Khunkhun began her professional broadcast career on Larry and Willy Morning Show. Her move into television came when she joined BT in November 2003 when Breakfast Television changed formats moving from a one-on-one talk and variety show to a faster paced, information-based program.

The newly-revitalized BT, with hosts Shane Foxman, Beverley Mahood, Dawn Chubai and Mark Docherty, presents Vancouverites with everything they need to start their day presenting more news, traffic, weather and entertainment
