Jack FM's first host is a Blues Brother
TORONTO - Fresh from performing - and acting as master of ceremonies - at the massive Toronto Rocks concert yesterday, Canadian actor and comic Dan Ackroyd took to the city's airwaves today.
One half of The Blues Brothers, Ackroyd played a short set yesterday with his late partner John Belushi's brother Jim as part of the "Have Love, Will Travel Revue."
In a surprise this afternoon, Ackroyd held court in the Rogers building in the Jack studios. Introducing himself as "Dan Jackroyd," he became the first on-air voice at Rogers Media's Jack 92.5 FM in Toronto (the former KISS FM), spinning tunes between 2 and 3 p.m.
What did he play? To paraphrase the station's tagline: whatever he wanted.
Jack's full time on-air team will be unveiled later this month.
