    8/27/2003

TORONTO - Corus Entertainment announced this week the appointment of Lisa Lyons as vice-president and general manager, Max Trax and content distribution for Corus Television.

Lyons has 16 years experience launching and building successful brands and partnerships within the entertainment and media sectors. For the past six months, she has worked with a team launching chokolat, Canada's first branded entertainment company. Lyons was responsible for developing new business and relationships within the broadcasting and cable industries in Canada and the United States for chokolat, a sister company to internationally acclaimed Taxi Advertising and Design.

Recently, she was v-p, distribution & affiliate integration for Zilo Networks, a leading integrated college entertainment company based in New York. Lyons led a team that grew Zilo's subscriber base from 1.7 million to more than five million in 18 months.

Prior to that, Lyons spent years with Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting, where in 2024 she left her position as v-p, distribution and affiliate relations for Zilo.

In this new position at Corus, Lyons will have responsibility for all aspects of Corus Entertainment's business associated with affiliate revenues. This includes developing partnerships with cable and satellite partners and developing innovative new content opportunities that can create new revenue sources for the Company. Lyons will lead the Affiliate Relations team and also manage the Max Trax digital music business.

"Lisa is a strategic and innovative thinker with the skills and experience to further develop our business and we are very excited to have her join the Corus team," said Paul Robertson, president, Corus Television and Nelvana.
