Waterloo, Ont., Inscriber announced today that Inscriber® InStream, a new plug-in featuring Inscriber's real-time text and graphics engine for Windows Media Encoder 9 Series, is now offered on WM and Microsoft's Windows Media 9 Series web site

InStream offers broadcast quality graphics and text capabilities to enterprises using Windows Media Encoder 9 Series for video streaming applications such as corporate communications and training. The InStream plug-in provides users of Windows Media Encoder 9 Series with direct access to video titling for live broadcasts.

"This is a great example of how our new plug in model opens up new opportunities for developers and delivers even more value to our customers" said Jonathan Usher, director, Windows Digital Media Division, Microsoft. "Inscriber video titling solutions are used by professional broadcasters around the world, including major television stations and post production facilities, and now our customers can take advantage of this great technology for their live broadcasts right inside the new Windows Media Encoder 9 Series.

Using Inscriber's proven TitleExpress, Inscriber InStream delivers professional titles that are easy to create and display. InStream supports on-air branding through its capability to add a logo to label the video stream and then adjust logo opacity, fades and position on the screen. For applications where video stream identification is important, InStream can overlay timecode, date, time of day and a text label. Inscriber InStream is ideally suited for any live broadcast such as company addresses, presentations, security camera monitoring and training courses. For added benefit, InStream is also an effective graphics labeling program for video content already recorded to disk.

"Microsoft has made live and on-demand video streaming easier than ever. By simply attaching a camera to a web-enabled PC equipped with Windows Media Encoder 9 Series, any organization can stream video. Inscriber is proud to provide our graphics technology as a plug-in for Windows Media Encoder 9 Series. Now organizations can enhance their live broadcasts with professional titles and logos to achieve the look and feel of broadcast television," stated Joel St. Denis, Product Manager of Inscriber.

Inscriber InStream is available immediately for $49.00 purchase and can be downloaded through Microsoft's Windows Media 9 Series web link: InStream is also available from Inscriber's web site:
