Video Communications, Inc. (VCI), supplier of integrated media solutions to the broadcast and cable industry, announced today that TuTV, a joint venture between Spanish-language media companies Univision Communications (based in the US) and Grupo Televisa (based in Mexico), has chosen VCI's flagship product, STARS II+, as their key business operating system for sales, traffic and billing. Used in more U.S.-based Spanish-language networks than any other traffic solution, the signing of TuTV is the 35th Spanish-language cable outlet to move to STARS II+.
TuTv includes five of the most powerful network brands in the Spanish-speaking media world, including De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, Ritmoson Latino and Bandamax. With the installation of STARS II+, TuTV is provided with a centralized database for managing all sales, traffic and billing operations.
