  • Lionsgate and FOX Networks Group Latin America, have today confirmed a significant output agreement through which Lionsgate will supply a stellar line up of its premium first-run films for FNG’s Pay TV and Basic Cable channels across Latin America. In addition, the channels will have access to popular films in Lionsgate’s extensive library.

The deal includes the fan-favorite films Divergent and Insurgent from the popular Divergent Series, as well as Academy Award-nominated film Philomena, and popular Pantelion title Ladrones with Latin American superstars Fernando Colunga and Eduardo Yañez.

“We are delighted to have secured this important agreement with our friends at FOX Networks Group Latin America,” said Peter Iacono, President International Television and Digital Distribution, Lionsgate. “Our aim is always to garner maximum value from each of our titles and this multiple year output deal for Pay TV and Basic Cable with such a major network in Latin America will enable our first-class programming to showcase widely across this important region.”

“Thanks to much hard work by executives from both companies, the highly successful content from the Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment labels has found a home as part of the portfolio of content offered on Fox Network Groups channels in Latin America.  With audiences that continually demand more and better content, Lionsgate will be a great addition to the other programming we currently offer.  It was a pleasure to work with the Lionsgate team to reach this agreement,” said Richard Rohrbach, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, FOX Networks Group Latin America.

The deal was brokered by Iacono, and Maryann Pasante, Lionsgate’s Senior Vice President of Sales with Rohrbach, SVP of Acquisitions, FNG Latin America.
