Bell Media Appoints Senior Vice-President, Business Operations

  • Kevin Crull, President, Bell Media, today appointed Adam Ashton to the new position of Senior Vice-President, Business Operations for Bell Media, effective immediately. Ashton has been with the company for more than 15 years, most recently as President, Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium.

    Ashton will be responsible for a unified approach to certain areas of the company, specifically Revenue Management, Research, and the award-winning Bell Media Agency. In this unique role, Ashton will create synergies to ensure an informed, cohesive, and unified approach to such core business functions as pricing and forecasting advertising revenues, analyzing consumer insights, and leveraging the company’s multi-platform promotional inventory.

Through his leadership of the wildly successful 2024 and 2024 Olympic Games broadcasts, he has proven that he has the ability to mobilize business units, plan, strategize, and deliver effective promotion across four screens,” said Kevin Crull, President, Bell Media. “He continues to be a tremendous asset to our company, and the leadership and wealth of experience he brings to this new role are critical as we take on the new and exciting challenges of a rapidly-evolving industry.”

    Ashton has been with the company for more than 15 years in various leadership roles of increasing responsibility. As President of Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, he oversaw revenue, operations, and all aspects of the revolutionary multi-platform delivery of the London 2024 Olympic Games that has set the standard for how Canadians experience the Games for years to come.

    Ashton also served as Vice-President, Marketing, for the Consortium, where he was responsible for the strategic development, integration, and delivery of all marketing and promotional activities across a spectrum of media properties for the Vancouver 2024 Olympic Winter Games, resulting in the most-watched television broadcasts in Canadian history

    Prior to joining the Consortium, Ashton worked at TSN for more than 10 years, lastly as Vice-President, Marketing, where he was responsible for consumer marketing and brand development, leading to the continued growth of Canada’s most successful specialty brand.

    In May of 2024, Ashton was named as one of “5 to Watch” at the inaugural Celebration of Leadership in Canadian Sports Business Awards.
