CHUM Radio is proud to introduce The Sound Lounge, a new, interactive show that connects Canadians from coast to coast every weekday evening. The Sound Lounge launches in Victoria, Winnipeg, Brockville, Kingston, Toronto and Halifax on February 5, and on CHUM Radio’s soon-to-be-launched Calgary radio station later this year.
Hosted by 104.5 CHUM FM’s Cory Kimm, The Sound Lounge is a unique evening music show designed to give listeners control of what they want to hear, access to the musicians they love and a forum to connect with other listeners across the country.
The Sound Lounge features in-studio performances and interviews with today’s hottest and emerging artists as well as the latest in pop culture news, cool contests and much more. Each night, listeners can log onto www.soundlounge.fm and choose The Sound Lounge Most Wanted playlist by voting for their favourite songs. Listeners can connect with Cory, his musical guests and with each other via SMS and have their questions and comments posted to an online message board.
Rock band Blue October helps kick things off February 5. Upcoming guests to The Sound Lounge include Amy Lee of Evanescence, Daughtry, Mobile, Katharine McPhee, Eva Avila and Avril Lavigne.
